What is a Boutique?
The Ponti's Boutique Loaf, developed from a brainstorming session between Ponti and Eyal Talmor,
one of our early wholesale customers. As a customer Eyal expressed his frustration in using sourdough cob loaves for his sandwich platers.
He was always having to deal with uneven slices and lots of unusable end pieces.

The Solution - A sourdough cob style bread with even usable pieces, eliminating wastage, frustration and increasing cost effectiveness.

The Result - A loaf comprising of 23 slices of usable bread available in 2 widths and 3 different slice thicknesses to suit differing needs.
Today this format of baking has been adopted by all our competitors and is considered an industry standard.
We consider this a compliment paid to us for being innovators not followers!

The Square Loaves are a familiar sight to most, often used for the making of toasted sandwiches, point sandwiches and sandwich platters.
These breads are made in the same variety and recipe as the boutique loaves.

Ponti's fruit breads are available in two different varieties.
The first is a traditional raisin bread made with sultanas, raisins, cinnamon and mixed spice.
The second is our famous, Sourdough Rye Apricot and Date Fruit Loaf packed with chunks of apricots, dates,
sultanas, raisins, cinnamon, mixed spice and topped with a small sprinkling of poppy seeds on top.

Traditional hard crusted Italian bread. With a textured crust and a soft aerated inside, the ciabatta roll is a salad bar and soup dipping favourite.
Available in traditional hard crusted, or a softer Turkish bread style crust.



Turkish Bread, called "Ekmek" in turkish, is a staple in Turkish culture and cuisine.
It is a bread traditionally enjoyed by the Turkish rich and poor alike and has it's origins extending as far back as the Ottoman Empire!

It is a versatile bread that can be eaten by itself, with a little olive oil or filled with your favourite fillings and toasted. It is distinguished from other breads by its light and airy texture. Today it has become one of the most widely eaten breads in Australia, especially as served in cafes and good sandwich bars.

Lemon and Herb - Ponti's Lemon and Herb Flatbreads are a thin-based flatbread topped lemon and herb seasoning. Perfect to present folded, filled with light ingredients and toasted. They also make for a particularly tasty pizza base.

Za'atar - A thin-based flatbread topped with the Lebanese Za'atar topping. The Za'atar blend consists of dried sumac, sesame, mixed spice and sea salt. These flatbreads are best eaten as is, toasted with a soup, used as a pizza base or used as a wrap base.

Brioche Flatbread - Ponti's Brioche flatbreads are perfect paring for breakfast menus, providing an enriched, flavoursome bed to eggs benedict or an ice cream desert covered in maple syrup and cinnamon dusted.

An iconic pocket style Cypriot bread, often grilled and served with dips,
however the the pocket is best suited for souvlaki or filled with any of your favourite fillings.

The pocket is created by steam which puffs up the dough as it passed through the hot oven. As the bread cools and flattens, a pocket is left in middle.
This lends this flat bread to a myriad of serving possibilities.

The Cyprus Pita is a relatively unknown style of flatbread which could quickly separate you from your competitors.

We are the only company in Melbourne making this bread!


Piadina is a thin Italian flatbread traditionally from the Romagna region of Northern Italy.
Piadinas are usually filled with a variety of cheeses, cold cuts and vegetables, but can also be used with sweet fillings such as jam or Nutella.


A traditional Lebanese staple known as "Khobz" It is a table bread served with meals,
dips or the traditional Shwarma which is a Lebanese version of the Greek gyros or the Turkish doner Kebab.

With it's thin and light qualities, Lebanese wraps are a popular choice for those seeking a lighter lunch alternative.

They are very versatile and found in most good sandwich bars where "wraps" are served.
